STATEMENT
As a portrait and landscape artist, I draw endless inspiration from the world around me, finding beauty in both the extraordinary and the ordinary. My landscapes aim to pull the viewer into a familiar place and invite them into the scene. My portraits range in style and representation, but they are all created to reveal the subject’s humanity. Through their expressions, body language, and the interplay of light and shadow, I aim to capture identity, emotion, and experiences. Using my background in psychology, I continue to develop my work by exploring the deeper themes of the human condition and identity.
My work primarily consists of oil paintings on canvas, where I experiment with rich textures and layered colors, as well as large-scale charcoal drawings that highlight mark-making's raw, tactile quality. I aim to create work that reflects the world as I see it and make space for others to resonate and connect with.
